Emme McManus joined the Meals on Wheels Durham team in May 2025 and is responsible for the enrollment, care coordination, and ongoing support of more than 500 clients each month.
She brings over five years of experience in program management, volunteer coordination, and outreach for nonprofits. Her background is in civic engagement and food security, gained through hands-on work in a variety of areas—from helping to start food pantries to supporting neighborhood gardens, community fridges, free produce markets, and the wider ecosystem of local food nonprofits.
Emme is an AmeriCorps alumna and a graduate of Warren Wilson College, where she earned a degree in Sociology and Anthropology with a focus in public health and disability studies. She is excited to continue her work in food access and support clients at Meals on Wheels Durham.
