Carlee Nicoll joined the Meals on Wheels Durham team as the Volunteer Impact Coordinator in June of 2026. She leads volunteer recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and recognition, helping ensure volunteers feel prepared, supported, and connected as they serve older adults across Durham County.
Before joining Meals on Wheels Durham, Carlee worked in local food systems, nonprofit community engagement, and the culinary industry. As a farmers market manager, she built community partnerships, coordinated volunteers and events, and helped expand access to fresh, local food at markets across the Triangle. She earned her bachelor's degree in Economics and Environmental Sustainability, with a minor in Food Studies, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Outside of work, Carlee enjoys baking, gardening, reading, and spending time with her family. She believes that food has the power to bring people together and strengthen communities.
