Carla Dougherty brings to the Meals on Wheels Durham Board a strong background in technology leadership, systems thinking, and a deep commitment to community service. With more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit and government technology organizations, she has led complex digital transformations, driven process improvements, and fostered collaboration across global teams.
A longtime resident of Durham, Carla is honored to serve Meals on Wheels Durham in its mission to alleviate food insecurity and reduce social isolation among homebound seniors. She looks forward to contributing her expertise in analytics, process optimization, and strategic planning as a member of the Finance Committee.
Carla holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where she remains active in the university’s mentoring program, and a Master of Information Science from North Carolina Central University. She enjoys cooking, reading, volunteering locally, and spending time with her husband and four children.
