2021 Holiday Gift Program

Every holiday season, each Meals on Wheels Durham client receives a gift they've selected from a carefully curated list of special items - a tradition made possible by contributions from generous community members like you.

Help us make our holiday program a success and brighten the season for a senior in our community. Here’s how to participate:

Adopt a Route

Donate funds to support gift purchasing for a delivery route of around 10 clients. Click here to make your gift online or mail a check (please write “2021 Holiday Gift Program” in the memo line) to Meals on Wheels Durham. We will put your contribution to work right away purchasing, wrapping, and delivering the special gifts you've made possible. We are grateful for a contribution of any amount, but if you or a group of friends and/or family are feeling particularly festive this year, we suggest the following levels:

  • ½ Route – $200
  • 1 Route – $400
  • 2 Routes – $800

Purchase Gifts on Amazon

Purchase gifts yourself from our Amazon Wishlist. Your first step for this option is to email our Director of Operations, Danielle Corcione, at danielle@mowdurham.org. She will provide you with a list of clients and the items they have selected. You have two options for selecting and delivering gifts:

  1. In the checkout page on Amazon, select  "Meals on Wheels of Durham's Gift Registry Address," which will automatically send the gifts directly to MOWD. We will then wrap and distribute them for you.
  2. Have gifts you select from the Amazon Wishlist delivered to yourself, and wrap them at home. Then bring them by our office at 2522 Ross Road in Durham so that we have time to deliver them.

Please delivery all gifts no later than Monday, December 6 to our office.
