Sarah Lorenz has served as the Client Service Coordinator at Meals on Wheels Durham since 2021 and helps make sure that seniors and people in need receive nutritious meals to improve their health and keep them in their homes.
Sarah is passionate about helping others and believes that anything can happen to anyone, good or bad, and that a strong community is based on supportive and caring cooperation.
Before joining Meals on Wheels Durham, Sarah worked as a Social Worker and Quality Manager of Care, working in Youth Welfare with young children and their families, as well as taking care of adults and seniors with psychiatric disorders.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and a Master of Arts in Social and NPO Management from Alice Salomon University of Applied Science in Berlin, Germany.
Originally from Germany, Sarah decided to follow her heart and therefore her husband and emigrated to the United States in 2016, where she became a permanent resident. Outside of work, Sarah has her hands full with her two toddlers and her fury child Sansa dog. She loves music, books, memes, good food, traveling and laughing.
